Welcome to Floss and Jet Coastal and Wellbeing products

I’m Angela, a designer, maker, writer, stylist & lover of all things Coastal. Floss and Jet is a brand based in Bournemouth on the beautiful Dorset Coastline in the UK. I created it for people who love the Coast, are following their own path and are looking for freedom and adventure every day. I aim to bring you products that inspire your next adventure, bring joy to your environment and remind you of your purpose.

My brand name is short for Flotsam and Jetsam. When I created Floss and Jet I had recently moved to the coast, was getting back to basics and making the best of the things that washed up on the beach or came my way in business and life. I set about transforming them with thoughtfulness and creativity.

I have been a designer most of my life mainly in fashion and sportswear design.I later discovered a passion for homeware and creating feel good spaces having returned from a period of travel. Many of my products now feature images and ideas from my travels. Throughout my career I always wanted to bring my own designs and vision to life. So I gathered all my experience and travel inspiration and began creating a wonderful place where I could share it – here! I always imagined my brand to have a Coastal theme and when I came to live by the sea the desire grew stronger as coastal inspiration was all around me. I found that some setbacks actually led me into following my dream path into my own creative business and all the healing and growth it has brought me.

Over the last few years I have aimed to find balance in my own life and you will see that there are some Self care and Wellbeing themes in my products. I believe in finding the freedom in every day and creating balance and flow in daily life. I have travelled a lot but have realised alongside those bigger adventures true joy is travelling a little every day.
